MEET TAYLER – What it means to be a Steadman Brown SF Recruiter.
Hey everyone, I’m Tayler from Steadman Brown, I have been working here for less than a month, specializing in the recruitment of Salesforce Administrators & Managers.

I’ve enjoyed my journey so far, building relationships with Salesforce Professionals and understanding exactly what our clients are looking for to fill roles quickly and efficiently, whilst supporting both our candidates & our clients throughout the process.

In the past several years of my career, I have worked as a Manager in Real Estate, specializing in Property Sales. Property sales involve several parties, including the legal owner of the property, the purchaser, both parties' solicitors, mortgage advisors, sales progressors, and other estate agents. I was responsible for not only successfully selling properties and selecting the right purchaser but also adhering to my vendors' timescales. Additionally, I ensured that all interested parties were financially qualified, conducted anti-money laundering checks on the successful purchaser, and relayed updates to all parties throughout the transaction. Building relationships with homeowners in the region and staying in touch with them to ultimately conduct valuations of their homes, gain their trust and receive instructions to sell their most valuable assets. It’s safe to say my role was very involved!

As far as I was concerned, everything was going well, and I had no plans to abandon my career in real estate...

My friend and former colleague, Olley, who was working at Steadman Brown for four months, recommended me for an interview with Lewis, and I decided to take my career in a completely different direction.

After less than a month, not only has Lewis Steadman provided me with Recruitment Consultant Training from one of the best international recruitment trainers RecruiterFit(Mr. Alan Clarke), but he also decided within this time to provide me with additional Business Development training to maximize my potential as a 360 Recruitment Consultant.

In addition to receiving external training, I have also received guidance and support from my team lead, Connor Howe, as well as kindness, encouragement, and support from my colleagues, especially Gavin WinchesterEwa Bialek, and Olley Thorpe.

As someone who has earned hundreds of thousands of dollars for employers who have not invested in my personal or professional development, I cannot adequately express how it feels to be given this level of extensive training from the onset. Lewis’s early investment in me, as a recruitment consultant, clearly demonstrates that he sees long-term potential in me which feels me with confidence and I’m genuinely excited about my future here.

In my professional career, I have worked in many offices with many teams, and I have never experienced an environment as positive, relaxed, and competitive as Steadman Brown's. Again, the culture here is surreal, not only do you effectively have a license to print money from your desk but, you can also have fun while you’re doing it! I had no idea that existed! Although we are all extremely busy Monday through Friday, we enjoy a weekly drink of our choice on Fridays, allowing us a chance to relax and have a good laugh together.

During the next three months, my professional objective is to master both the candidate and client sides of the recruitment process in my specialization from start to finish. My ultimate goal is to become an integral part of the SB Business Development Team, producing leads to ensure that my colleagues' pipelines and clientele grow consistently.

I intend to purchase my property on my own. My main concern right now is to excel as quickly as possible within the Recruitment Industry, which is why I chose Steadman Brown from day one.

A Week In The Life As A Steadman Brown Recruiter - Max Goodger

Back to work on everyone’s favourite day of the week! With Monday’s often being the most pivotal day of the week, let’s have a look at how most of my Monday’s look as a Steadman Brown recruiter within the Salesforce Career sector!

First thing on a Monday is always to check my emails and InMail to catch up on anything that took place over the weekend. That could be a client sending their feedback over on Salesforce candidates, a new candidate sending me their CV for a upcoming Salesforce Job opening, or even a brand-new role from one of our Salesforce clients! Once I’ve settled the score from the weekend, it’s time to have a look at the week ahead. This is normally where my team will take a look at the roles we have at the time. We will determine how we are intending to approach each, ensuring we understand the requirements for each role. This will enable us to quickly identify the right Salesforce talent for each role.

Once we’ve set the roadmap for the week ahead, it’s time to get to work! I’ll spend the bulk of my week sourcing new candidates. I'll ensure that I fully understand what it is they’re looking for in that next role. I'll also make sure that this aligns with the Salesforce opportunities I have in mind for them. This early part of the process is often one of the most critical parts of the process. This is because this is where I fully understand what it is the candidate is looking for. I use this information to find them the Perfect Salesforce Position, not just their next role.

Recent times, one of my greatest strengths has definitely been my ability to understand client and candidate requirements. Using this skill allows me to make sure that every candidate I put forward for a role is speaking to a company that will really value their skillset and give them the opportunity to grow and develop within a SF Career, rather than firing their CV out left, right and centre, which is often an issue many candidates face in the Salesforce ecosystem. I like to think we stand out from the crowd in this regard.

With that being said, taking that time to really understand both the client and candidate led to a new placement this week. The candidate was looking to find a role that would offer them the opportunity to build upon the foundations they had built in their previous roles. In addition, they wanted a real roadmap for progression and development, which they felt was missing in their previous role. We found exactly that in one of our opportunities. Therefore, we have allowed them to move into a very exciting position that will give them a platform to really drive their Salesforce career forward!

However, like my colleague Josh, I've noticed seasonal trends in recruitment, with many candidates and clients on annual leave, often abroad, taking a well-deserved break. In the summer, when many people are looking for vacations, many aren't actively seeking new jobs. However, as you can imagine, with the ever-growing size of the Salesforce ecosystem, new relationships can be built every single day, putting candidates one step closer to finding the right role, and means clients are able to secure the best talent on the market when hiring Salesforce candidates.

Over the weekend, I didn't do too much! (Boring I know!). I fly to Ibiza in a couple weeks’ time, so I’m trying to be sensible in the build-up and saving myself for that!

This week – the goal is very much the same: find the best talent possible! With an abundance of Salesforce consultant and Salesforce project manager roles in my team at the moment, there’s plenty of exciting opportunities for any curious or active Salesforce jobseekers. Please don't hesitate to contact us if that's you!

A week in the life at Steadman brown

Back at work, its Monday morning, and I’m feeling FRESH and READY! Here's what went down in my work life last week!

It had been a challenging week to say the least. With a bit of persistence and a few bumps along the way, all is well. It is my primary responsibility to lead my team of consultants and effectively guide them through their career paths. Day-to-day tasks included structuring the team for the week ahead, sourcing candidates in the development and architecture fields and liaising between candidates and clients to ensure the recruitment process went smoothly!

My strengths last week were creating a strong talent pool of senior architects in the US. Salesforce Architects design, deliver complex solutions for enterprise-grade customers. In this particular search, I was hunting for something very specific.
On top of this, keeping my team happy and motivated was a success as they had a great week even with one working from home. To wrap up the week, we had our Friday entertainment. On Fridays, a team member picks a fun activity to do before we finish early for the weekend.  The experience was enjoyable and really boosted the team's morale!

In my job, I'm responsible for sourcing these Salesforce candidates to companies that are currently recruiting. The past few weeks have seen a slight weakness in contrast to my strengths. Seasonal recruitment trends! This is for the UK right now at least. It is well known that seasonality impacts recruitment during the summer months. During the summer the job market isn’t too hot. As the weather gets warmer and schools are out, it's likely that work is not at the forefront of everyone's mind with a lot of holidays being the conversation. Candidate hiring becomes difficult when managers and key decision makers are absent or on annual leave. That being said - our talent pool at Steadman Brown continues to grow every day with candidates being successfully placed regularly- No seasonal trend can slow us down!

With the weekend over, I spent time with my partner and making the most of the weather! With another heatwave, temperatures hit 35 Degrees on Saturday – I enjoyed the sun as much as I could bare it.

I’m looking forward to this week with my goals being to attack the UK market, continue the search for Technical leads and Developers to join our exclusive clients and make sure the team are continuing to smash it!
