And just like that, 2024 has come to an end.

It’s been another strong year for Steadman Brown, albeit marred by what feels like a consistent barrage of hurdles and indecision in the economy, political, and wider business landscape.

2024 has been a strong year for Steadman Brown in many different forms. Aside from record numbers of clients supported and candidates placed, we’ve found time to focus on building and improving our back-office functions, which are key to both our sales team and to our wider clients/candidates to ensure that their experience working with Steadman Brown is the best it can be.

Led by our Delivery Manager Josh, Steadman Brown has onboarded more clients than ever before and placed more candidates in 2024 than any other calendar year since we have been trading.

Key Highlights include:

  • 5% increase in the number of new clients we have made placements with on CY23
  • 7% increase in the number of placements made on CY23
  • 9.7% increase in average deal value on CY23
  • 12% increase in overall placement revenue on CY23
  • 86% of placements made were with customers who use Steadman Brown exclusive.

Other notable highlights include

  • Continuing to be the Exclusive recruitment partner for the UK’s officially fastest-growing Salesforce partner in 2024 – Ziipline
  • Continuing to be the exclusive recruitment partner to the Salesforce partner with the lowest staff attrition/turnover with 40+ heads in the UK – Arlanis Reply
  • Exclusive recruiter trusted to build the UK’s first dedicated Loyalty Cloud practice – Collison
  • Helping three Salesforce partners build offshore delivery teams across South Africa, reducing their managed service support salary bill by over 42%

Aside from our growth in numbers, we’ve also used 2024 to invest heavily in our back office and support functions. We’re the only UK Salesforce recruitment company to have a dedicated employee focused on purely new business, helping to attract new Steadman Brown customers, with recent success including Autoglass, Ovo Energy, and Zen Internet.

Marketing has been another major investment for us this year, with the most notable project being the complete rebrand and relaunch of Steadman Brown.

What started as an initial conversation to update our website quickly turned into a full-scale consultation of our brand and marketing proposition. Caroline has led this project with the primary aim of making sure our website and branding match up with our position in the market as the UK’s leading Salesforce recruitment company.

I’m delighted that Caroline and the team at Venn have achieved this. Steadman Brown now ranks #1 on Google for Salesforce Recruitment in the UK, and our new branding does make clear our expertise in this market.

Like any sales business, everything that isn’t Sales becomes a tomorrow job. However, since hiring Scarlett into the role of Operations Manager, the tomorrow jobs have been completed!

Scarlett has expertly landed into her role of Operations Manager, taking on the task of joining up all areas of our business, and implementing processes that were otherwise being ignored to create a seamless journey for both clients and candidates. Whilst Scarlett is early into her Operations career, it is clear she understands her role greatly and is full of ideas for 2025 to further improve the business.

2024 also saw the launch of our sister company InterWho. The world's 1st and only platform that connects Salesforce customers with Salesforce experts, to technically interview their future Salesforce hires.

InterWho launched in Spring 2024 and has been a great hit. Within weeks of launching we had our first success, helping the fast-growing travel company VIP SKI interview and hire their first in-house Salesforce resource.

Last but not least, we had an early Christmas gift land in December. Steadman Brown is now an official Salesforce Partner!

This is something we were keen to do in 2025, but we’re ahead of the game, and super excited about sharing more details of what this partnership means for everyone in January.
