As a Salesforce recruitment company, we understand the importance of giving back to the community and taking care of our environment. That's why we've taken action and made a positive impact by planting trees for every candidate we successfully place in a new role.
By planting a local tree for each successful candidate, we're not only creating a positive impact on the environment. We're also promoting sustainability and creating a greener future for our local communities. It's our small way of giving back and making a difference, one placement at a time.
Yesterday, our team spent the afternoon helping out at Time4Trees, a fantastic organization dedicated to creating sustainable forests and preserving our natural environment. Time4Trees focuses on reforestation and afforestation in and around the local area. Their goal is to plant as many trees as possible to combat deforestation and climate change. They do this by working with local communities, businesses like us, and individuals to create sustainable forests throughout the UK, which benefit both the environment and the people who depend on it.
One of the things that sets Time4Trees apart is their dedication to sustainability. They understand that planting trees is just the first step in creating a healthy ecosystem. To ensure that their forests thrive, they work with local communities to create sustainable forestry practices that are both environmentally and economically sound.
Their efforts have already made a huge impact. When they create forests, they do so with Native Trees specially selected to restore pieces of damaged High Carbon land to beautiful, natural woodland. Areas include Kent (where we are based), Surrey, Essex and Cambridge. By planting trees, they're helping to combat climate change, reduce the amount of carbon in the atmosphere, and create habitats for wildlife, in areas that need it most.
Our trees are planted at the Steadman Brown Dartford site - an excellent example of a reformed and regenerated piece of land and can be viewed from Dartford's Queen Elizabeth Bridge.
Did you know... In addition to linking some of the country's most significant manufacturing and distribution centres, the Dartford Crossing is one of the busiest roads in the country?! Its location on the major transport axes of the M25 London Orbital Motorway and the A2 trunk route to the channel ports, coupled with the Bluewater shopping centre and significant housing development in recent years, are the prime contributors to frequent gridlocks on all four sides of the town. This is an ultra-high pollution zone, so tree planting and green efforts are incredibly important here.
Our experience planting trees with Time4Trees was truly memorable.
What we did:
We were given shovels and saplings and instructed on how to plant them. We worked as a team, planting trees in rows. It was a great way to connect with nature, and it was incredibly rewarding to know that we were contributing to a good cause.
Overall, our afternoon with Time4Trees was an unforgettable experience for the team. Not only did we get to spend time in nature, but we also got to contribute to a great cause. If you're looking for a way to make a difference in the world, consider supporting Time4Trees.
By planting trees, you can help combat climate change, create habitats for wildlife, and create a more sustainable future for all.
