I'm Joby, the newest member of Steadman Brown
I joined Steadman Brown in April 2024, having worked in the dynamic field of recruitment for nearly two years. A major career change for me, having previously worked as an electrician for 8 years. I previously worked as a 360 recruiter with an agency that specialised in education. It was here that I practised connecting talented individuals with exciting opportunities, fostering relationships, and driving positive outcomes for both clients and candidates.
We asked Joby...
What attracted you to Steadman Brown?
My first interaction with Steadman Brown was on LinkedIn, where I was introduced to Salesforce. Having worked with a different CRM system in my previous role I was intrigued to develop my understanding further, and with my skills and experience in recruitment I wanted to move into securing myself a career within the tech industry.
What attracted me to Steadman Brown was the opportunity to expand my knowledge and gain experience within a completely new industry.
How Do You Like To Spend Your Downtime?
When I’m not in the office, you’ll either find me on a golf course or at the driving range (I need all the practice I can get). I like to think I’m good at a great deal of sports-based activities but golf is one I’m still yet to perfect. But practice makes perfect, and I’m not giving up anytime soon. I’ve bought too many golf clothes now to give up.
Superpower Qualities?
I wish I could read people’s minds, I’d love to know what my mates think of my shots on the golf course.
Fav Food/Drink?
Favourite food would have to be pasta, I could eat spaghetti or lasagne everyday. And I love a good beer, cruzcampo is the winner at the moment.
Fav Film?
Favourite film would have to be Papillon, the 2017 version. After watching the film for the first time I continued to watch it for the next 3 nights in a row.
Fav Music?
I listen to a variety of music, I was always the go-to for creating playlists. But in terms of favourite, anything by Paolo Nutini.
Pet Peeve/Weakness?
My pet peeve is people who sing-along to songs but don’t get the lyrics right.
