I'm currently partnered with a brand-new Salesforce Customer who are heavily invested in a greenfield implementation to bring on Salesforce as their one-stop shop for everything in the business.

They already have a Salesforce Partner to help with the initial implementation but they are looking to build an inhouse team and you'll be the first hire, with a team being built around you. You will lead the team to design, implement and deploy Salesforce for this business and have the chance to get in early on their long-term roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first in-house Salesforce hire, taking ownership of the platform and shaping its long-term roadmap.
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of Salesforce solutions across the business.
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce Partner during the initial implementation, ensuring knowledge transfer and smooth transition.
  • Build and lead a high-performing internal Salesforce team, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions aligned with Salesforce best practice.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery from requirement gathering through to deployment and post-implementation support.
  • Establish governance, coding standards, and deployment processes to ensure platform stability and scalability.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to ensure Salesforce becomes the central hub for operations.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Salesforce Developer or Technical Lead, with a track record of delivering complex Salesforce projects.
  • Strong technical expertise across Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL, and integration patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with deployment and release management tools (e.g. Salesforce DX, Gearset, or Copado).
  • Previous involvement in greenfield or large-scale Salesforce implementations highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data modelling, security, and best practice governance.
  • Experience in team leadership or mentoring, with the ability to establish and grow an in-house Salesforce function.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I required.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II preferred.

Benefits:

  • You'll have the opportunity to be the first in the door Salesforce hire and grow at the rate this company is, building a team around you.
