Steadman Brown are working with one of the largest Salesforce customers in the UK, a brand I'm sure you've heard of. They are currently expanding their internal Salesforce team that are working across Sales, Service, Experience, Agentforce, Data360, Marketing and MuleSoft.
They are now seeking a Lead Salesforce Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for developing complex solutions across Salesforce and their wider tech stack (mainly web applications). You will lead a team of Developers and taking ownership of the build, working closely with the Solution Architect on design, through to implementation and deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain enterprise applications, with a primary focus on Salesforce and supporting other web applications.
- Work closely with the Solution Architect to translate high-level designs into technical solutions.
- Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle, including technical design, development, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
- Deliver solutions using Salesforce best practices, using declarative configuration wherever appropriate, whilst developing Lightning Web Components, Flows and Apex where required.
- Design and develop complex business processes, user interfaces and integrations that support evolving business requirements.
- Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external applications.
- Lead a development team, coordinating the delivery of Salesforce to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Lead development activities throughout the DevOps lifecycle, supporting CI/CD pipelines and promoting best practices in source control, deployment and release management.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentoring to developers, ensuring solutions meet quality, security and performance standards.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience developing solutions on the Salesforce platform using Lightning Web Components, Apex and Salesforce Flow.
- Experience developing or supporting web or business applications outside of Salesforce.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce development best practices, with experience balancing declarative configuration and custom development.
- Experience delivering complex technical solutions within enterprise environments.
- Experience working closely with Solution Architects to implement technical designs and deliver solutions.
- Experience developing integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST APIs and enterprise integration platforms.
- Previous experience leading technical delivery within an engineering team.
- Experience with modern DevOps practices and deployment tools, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub or Copado.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including code quality, testing, security and performance optimisation.
