Lead and scale a high-performing engineering function within a growing Salesforce ISV, owning technical strategy, delivery, and team development. You’ll shape the product’s future, drive engineering best practice, and work closely with leadership to influence roadmap, architecture, and long-term growth.
Own the end-to-end engineering function, leading teams, setting technical direction, and ensuring high-quality delivery across the product lifecycle. You’ll work closely with product and leadership to translate strategy into scalable solutions, while building a strong engineering culture and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and scale a high-performing engineering team, setting clear objectives, managing performance, and fostering a strong, collaborative culture
- Provide technical leadership with a strong focus on Salesforce managed packages, including design, development, packaging and release strategy
- Own delivery across the full development lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard
- Oversee architecture decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure and aligned with best practice for ISV products
- Work closely with Product and senior stakeholders to shape the roadmap and translate requirements into technical delivery
- Establish and improve engineering processes, including code reviews, QA, DevOps and release management
- Ensure effective versioning, upgrades and dependency management across managed packages
- Support and guide the team on complex technical challenges, particularly within packaging and multi-org environments
- Drive continuous improvement across team capability, tooling and delivery efficiency
Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams, with strong people management and mentoring capability
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Salesforce managed packages, including packaging models, versioning, upgrades and release processes
- Extensive experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, ideally in an ISV or product-led environment
- Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices across Apex, LWC and platform configuration
- Experience defining and implementing scalable, secure solutions within multi-org and enterprise environments
- Demonstrated ability to own and deliver complex technical projects across the full lifecycle
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with Product and senior leadership
- Experience establishing and improving engineering processes, including code reviews, QA and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g. Git, Gearset, Copado)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to guide teams through complex technical challenges
