Agentforce World Tour - Tips and Advice

4 mins

Attending a world tour event can be an incredible opportunity to expand your professional network and gain valuable insights. In a part two to our previous blog, Josh Printer has more insight and advice to offer! We have gone into more detail on networking opportunities, Josh's experiences and why Steadman Brown are a company you should plan to meet on the day.

How can someone attending world tour effectively network with others?

Do the preparation beforehand. Network throughout the week, connect with other experts and recruiters, send them a message and plan to meet. You will bump into people along the way, but by having a rough plan, you will guarantee some results. It gets very busy, and there’s a lot happening so it's very easy to miss people.

For companies, make a list; there are a lot at the event. They will either have a stand or they will be attending as a company. Again, it gets very busy and sometimes you will have to wait to get to speak to certain companies. So have a list that you are going to target.

When networking, first impressions at these events can make a huge difference. Preparing a background about you and your experience is a great idea, especially if your agenda for the day is to speak with companies you may want to join or to speak to Salesforce recruiters. I know of candidates who have landed jobs this way.

What is your highlight from any world tour event in the past?

Personally, it’s seeing how companies are using the latest Salesforce features and products and learning about how it helps them. Seeing candidates and clients in person for the first time is always a memorable encounter too.

Why should you talk to Steadman Brown, even if you aren’t actively looking for a new job?

We are the eyes and ears of the Salesforce market. We have insights into companies that you might not know of. Plus, you never know when you might need us, either for yourself or for hiring into your team.

Sometimes I speak with candidates, and they will say they are happy in their role, but if we get an opportunity in a certain industry or a company are doing something they are interested in, then let me know. It might be months before that contact happens but when it does, I will call them first.
