Salesforce to grow 6x its size

    Salesforce recently launched an impressive statement, declaring that they are on track to become 6x the size than they are today, by 2024.
    Salesforce already owns 18% of the CRM marketplace, but these recent figures show that that market is about to increase rapidly.


    Research predicts that within 5 years, 50% of cloud computing spend will be related to digital transformations and worldwide spending on digital transformation will soar at over 19% per annum.

    During the research, IDC looked at how the Salesforce Economy will impact revenue and job growth for six specific industries.

    • Financial Services industry will gain $224.3 billion in new revenues and 730,900 new jobs will be created by 2024.
    • Manufacturing industry will gain $211.7 billion in new revenues and 765,800 new jobs will be created by 2024.
    • Retail industry will gain $134.8 billion in new revenues and 539,700 new jobs will be created by 2024.
    • Comms and Media industry will gain $129.7 billion in new revenues and 473,800 new jobs will be created by 2024.
    • Healthcare and Life Sciences industry will gain $68.5 billion in new revenues and 222,600 new jobs will be created by 2024.
    • Government industry will gain $64.7 billion in new revenues and 254,400 new jobs will be created by 2024.

     

    At present, the Salesforce ecosystem of partners and Application providers is already 4x greater than Salesforce themselves. This is predicted to increase to 6x larger by 2024, creating over 6 million indirect jobs.
    Whilst the growth of Salesforce as business, product and ecosystem is fantastic, the Tech Skills gap is going to be critical factor in supporting and aiding this growth.


    In recent years, Salesforce have been very active in their pursuit to fix the tech skills gap and have invested heavily in the Trailhead platform. They haven't stopped there.

    The Salesforce ecosystem and community is like no other. Not a week goes by that there isn't a meet-up group taking place and Salesforce has an organisation is key to that.
    Recently Salesforce have rapidly expanded their events and community teams, to create, promote and host meet-up groups globally. Historically these were hosted by Salesforce users in the eco-system and arranged through 3rd party platforms such as Meet-Up.


    As a Salesforce dedicated recruitment company, this statement is music to our ears. The market is growing 6fold, and the supply and demand for Salesforce professionals shows no signs of fading.
    This is equally great for Salesforce professionals. The demand for talent is going to be huge, and the opportunities for personal development are going to be rife.
    This growth will see more positions open both in-house and with consultancy partners. As mentioned above the Salesforce partner and product network is already 4x the size of Salesforce. As Salesforce as a business and product offering continues to develop, the amount of Salesforce partners in the ecosystem is going to accelerate too.
